Cream cheese stuffed garlic bagels

Golden bagels filled with smooth cream cheese and soaked in a sweet and creamy garlic sauce

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 Large bagels
  • Parmesan, grated

Garlic sauce

  • 120g Butter, melted
  • 60ml Condensed milk (1/4 cup)
  • 6 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 3g dried parsley (2 tbsp)
  • 1 Large egg

Cream cheese filling

  • 250g Cream cheese, room temperature
  • 60ml Heavy cream (1/4 cup)
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F/180C and line a large cookie sheet with baking paper
  2. Make 6 cuts on the bagel, making sure not to cut through all the way, set aside
  3. Combine the room-temperature cream cheese, heavy cream, and salt in a bowl
  4. Whisk until smooth and transfer to a piping bag with a large round tip
  5. Pipe the cream cheese into each. gap of the bagel
  6. Combine the melted butter, condensed milk, garlic, parsley, and egg, and whisk until smooth and well-combined
  7. Dip the bagel into the garlic butter sauce and flip to smother the whole bagel in the sauce
  8. Remove from the sauce and place on the lined baking tray
  9. Scatter over parmesan and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown
  10. Cool for 5 minutes before enjoying
